Customer Review: Amazing, protable little guy!

First I will tell you what it does!
-A 12x14 living space is effectively de-humidified as long as the space remains closed (not ventilated to moist air)
-It is portable, and easy to move (I've packed it for 3 overseas trips and had no problems)
-I used to have severe mold problems, those problems are ALL GONE!
-It removes about 400ml of water per day at 80% humidity, and 250ml of water per day at ~60% humidity. Those are not hard fast numbers, just generally what I get. I empty it once every two days.
-It took my bedroom, where my towels never dried, and my sheets always felt damp, and dried them all out! It took 4 days for the room to stabilize at a lower humidity, but once it did it was amazing!
-The auto-shutoff when full works every time!
What it doesn't do:
-This unit is not whisper quiet. The fan is actually a computer grade fan and this sounds like a moderately loud computer, but way quieter than any larger de-humidifier and quieter than a typical bathroom fan.
-If you leave your windows open, run a ventilation fan, or put this in a larger than 20x20 space than you will more than likely not get satisfactory results. I'd say my 12x14 room is the largest this unit should be used in for max effect (at least in a constant 60+% RH environment).
-Also if you don't put this unit in the open (such as hiding it behind furniture) then it will not work optimally.
-does not cool the air. Exhaust is a couple degrees warmer than ambient air (Google Peltier and you'll see why), but not much warmer.
I gave it five stars because as long as you know that it is not whisper quiet, and will not work on large rooms, then this unit is perfect! Use it for what it's designed for and you won't be disappointed, just don't expect miracles. I sleep with an A/C on anyways, and that is way louder than this. If you are not bothered by white noise than you can sleep to this.
All in all, I'd say this is the most effective unit you will ever find for the price/size that this is offered at!
Also, please note that the wireless eva-dry's are only meant for closets! They will not work in a room (look at their moisture removal rating, 200ml in 3 weeks, and then remember that this guy removes up to 400ml a day!

The Edv-2200 is the most recient addition to the Eva-dry line. Using the same "Peltier" technology as the Edv-1100 (its smaller counter part) , it quietly absorbs moisture at a much more effective rate, as well as from a larger area. Once the Edv-2200 has reached its capacity, there is an indicator light that will alert you that the resivor needs to be emptied and the unit will turn itself off.
