Customer Reviews of Eva-dry Renewable EDV-300/E-333 Wireless Mini DehumidiferCustomer Review: Works, but has limitations... Summary: 4 Stars
I actually have the 'Remington' branded version of this mini-dehumidifier. Same product from what I can tell, just different branding. I keep four of these in my gun safe. Unfortunately, my safe is stationed in my basement which is the only place in the house it can go. They work as advertised, but if it's a really damp environment, you WILL need to frequently recharge them. No getting around that. That's not a knock on the product itself like some folks want to make it into, but rather an indicator of how severe your dampness situation is. It works as advertised, but these little units can only do so much. You have to accept the fact that you will need to do a little maintain to keep these units working. I prefer the compactness of the EDV-300 over it's bigger brother because I can place it in smaller, more strategic areas of the safe. Recharging has never been an issue with this model as the plug is better situated in the rear of the unit vs the EDV-500. I typically recharge them once a week, only two at a time, so there will always be at least two units in the safe while the other two are recharging. I never wait until the units are fully saturated before recharging them, which in itself reduces the recharging time.
Customer Review: I think I recommend them Summary: 4 Stars
It is important that you read reviews before buying stuff. I own five of these units, one for each closet. I have been using them for nearly a year. It is hard to say they are working to entirely reduce the humidity in my closets, BUT I think they are. The visual display is hard to tell when they require to be plugged in for recharging. Plugging them in merely heats the sustance inside and dries it out so it can be put back into the closet to start absorbing moisture again. I cannot say I don't recommend them, so I have to say I think I recommend them. After much research I have not found anything else to do what these units are supposed to do. So, if you are reading this and wondering what on Earth am I saying I would have to say try one or two before buying five or six and see for yourself. You will not go too terribly wrong. These units are suppose to last for years; I'll find out.
Customer Review: Great for small apartments Summary: 4 Stars
this is a neat little product if your apartment doesn't circulate cool air very well. i used to reside in a basement apartment with a single window and found that when i cooked or took a really hot shower i would always have to open the window and the door because the humidity levels would be unbearable and a fan didn't help much. I purchase about 2 or three of these neat little items and placed them around the apartment and they sucked up the moisture well. It's energy efficient the only thing is that it required the use of an outlet to expel the moisture which is not a luxury when you reside in close quarters but if you have the space to plug it in and open your window to let the excess moisture get out good for you but then you really wouldn't need it so this is only beneficial if you live in a tiny not well ventilated apartment.
Customer Review: Good Purchase Summary: 4 Stars
This being my first purchase through Amazon I was a little hesitate at first. I've been looking to purchase a dehumidifer for my damp closet and in doing research, found that Eva-dry are the best out there for the price point and size. This dehumidifer by Eva-dry does what it says, removes moist damp air in the smallest of spaces, even worked on my buddy's safe. The only downsize is that you do need to check it from time to time to see when the pink colored beads turn blue, perhaps a alarm or something better than visible window.Eva-dry Renewable EDV-300/E-333 Wireless Mini Dehumidifer
Customer Review: I love this thing Summary: 4 Stars
I've been discovering moldy clothes in my closet for years and having to get rid of some and dryclean some; they all still smell somewhat.
Then I got this product for my closet and it's been amazing. No moldy clothes yet, and I can feel the difference in the closet. This puppy works overtime!
Plusses: Renewable. Does not require the same resources as Damp-Rid. Works better than Damp-Rid. Easy to use. Inexpensive.
Minus: Needs recharging too often--for me, about every 2-2 1/2 weeks.
