My doctor wrote a perscription for "iron pills" for me. It was very expensive and my insurance wouldn't cover it. My pharmacist suggested Ferrex150. This stuff has helped get my iron levels up (I take 2 a day) within 3 months. The best part is it does NOT cause that horrible side effect that most iron pills are known for. (pssst - diarhea!) My doc was very pleased and I have taken this for well over a year with no ill effects. Ask your doctor. Finding it here was so great as it is even less expensive than at my local drugstores, including Walmart! :o)
