The Frio pack was recommended by our Diabetes Educator to my teenage daughter for a mission trip to TN. As the other reviewers suggested, if you follow the directions which are basically 2 easy steps, redistribute the crystals evenly and don't soak it for too long, you will be amazed at how well the product works at keeping your insulin within the acceptable range. My teenager loved it and is using it this week for a lacrosse camp; no embarrassment because the pack is small, and you have a color choice of outer sleeves. She doesn't have to ask for special refrigeration, so she can feel like one of the other kids. It helps her feel self-reliant and more independent. Would definitely recommend this product and have heard my daughter recommend it to others as well.
