i guess i'm review # 130 ... i've read all 129 of the previous ... i've had 3-4 braun razors over the past 7-8 yrs. + this is the best so far ... all brauns have a 2 yr. warranty whether refurbed or new ... so that knucklehead who said he had 2 fail in 24 months + threw them out is clueless + full of it ... he could have had both fixed like new for FREE ... i live in clearwater fla + there is a small appliance shaver repair store here like there is in most cities in america ... just carry it in with amazon reciept ...+ they will fix it for FREE ... braun pays these guys for all warranty work ... easier then mailing it in ... the battery life is great on this razor ... just be sure to charge it fully out of he box ...+ run it till it is dead every once in a while... want a good shave ... SHAVE BEFORE U GET IN THE SHOWER ... the oils in your skin help give u a much closer shave then after the shower when they are washed out + your skin is soft ... i have a tough beard + it takes about 3-5 minutes to get a complete shave ... u have to run it side to side + up + down in all directions to get the neck hair + all the rough spots ... u might have to use a blade in the shower every now + then to get weird angles on your neck ... but this braun gives a smooth close shave quick + easy ... this is very quiet razor to me ... if u think its real loud as some have suggested u may have a problem with the pivot head ... mine is quiet to me ... but if u have any problem braun will fix it ... everything is under warranty except the foil + cutter blades... the cutter blades + foil should be replaced about 1-2 times a year or when worn rough or thru the foil according to your face ... they are about $20 for both on line or at walmart ... i had the braun 2000 + 3000 series + they were ok ... but after2 years its not worth replacing the cutter + foil when u can get a new 1 at this price ... my refurb model came fast with free shipping from amazon ... i knew it did'nt come with the cleaning base + cleaning cartridges ... i didnt want that feature or to have to buy the cartridges ... the head snaps off + u can run it to loosen the shaved hairs + brush it off with the supplied brush ... the cutter block pulls out easily + is easy to clean with the brush or soak it in some alcohol... the refurbed ones come with a brand new foil + cutter block blades ... there is no way u are going to catch a diease from it like one reader suggested ... electrics are not for everyone or perfect like everything else in life ... as far as hairs spilling out on your clothes ... mine rarely does it ... + only a few if at all ... i dump the shavings out after every shave ... it takes a sec ... the button lock does'nt work real well on mine.. my only drawback ... but i'll get it fixed if its a real bother ... the 4 way piviot head is great + allows u to get all the angles to get a close shave ... go with + against the grain of the beard to get em all ... + this razor gets em all for a great price backed by a 2 yr warranty from braun + amazons nice customer service ... thank u very much
