I bought this product after borrowing one from a friend and loving it. It heats up in about 2 minutes, and then smoothes down hair with very little effort. I've only had mine a few months, so I can't vouch for its durability, but the friend from whom I originally borrowed one told me that it was the best straightener the market. So far, it has definitely been worth the expense. Just make sure you condition your hair regularly - straightening it will dry it out super quickly.Customer Review: I got this for my girlfriend and she loves it.

I got this for my girlfriend and she loves it. She says it's fast, easy to use and way better than a cheaper ceramic plated one she had. She did say that for full curls she still prefers her curling iron.
My complaint is what the owners manual says, "The CHI Hairstyling Iron is only under warranty if purchased from a Professional Salon. The purchase of the CHI Hairstyling Iron will not be guaranteed if purchased through any other outlets including the Internet." So I guess Amazon gave me a good price, but no warranty.

It had been four months, and one day, i pick up my chi straightener, and the metal plate had fallen out. the quality does not match the price. this one is worse than the 30 dollar iron i started with. now i've moved to a solia, and it works much better. the chi also gave my hair split ends instantly. most irons usually last for atleast a year. all i can say is that if you buy this, you are wasting your money!
