Customer Review: Way better than the things you heat in the microwave!

I'd pretty much forgotten about hot water bottles, as it seems just about everywhere sells those things filled with rice that you heat in the micro instead. However, someone suggested that the moist heat of a hot water bottle was more comforting, and that the heat lasted longer than the microwave things, so I decided to give it a try. NOW I'M IN LOVE! Honestly - why on earth did most of us move away from these to those microwave things???
These hot water bottles are imported from Germany and are super durable. I had the plaid one for me and a fuzzy stars and moon small one for my daughter (because of course she wants whatever mommy has). I loved it so much that we took it to Europe with us on a recent trip and somehow we lost it in the process. (So I of course re-ordered upon our return home...)
So what do I use it for? On chilly nights it's great to help warm up your spot in bed. If you have achy body parts knees, etc. it feels wonderful on them, and depending on the type of stomach ache you have, it feels great for those too. If your partner refuses to let you put your cold tootsies on them to warm them up on chilly nights, then you've got your trusty hot water bottle for that too! I'd say that most cold nights I sleep with one now - it just feels so warm and cozy.
(Note: If you have aches from fibromyalgia, arthritis, etc. - these feel wonderful on your achy spots. Way better than the microwave things)
When we returned I ordered the heart shaped one (not as good) the blue monster one (a bit disappointing - it's a small bottle in a big monster shaped bag) and a gray fleece one. The fleece one is okay, but for whatever reason it just isn't the same as my original plaid one, so believe it or not I reordered the plaid one again! So, we've now got 4 hot water bottles.
Ahh well - at least now I'll never be without one.
