I got this for photography, for shooting on locations and in the wilds. Yes, as pointed out, you sit "backwards" with your legs straddling the handle.

Stop to rest anywhere any time. Stay in the field longer.
Great POV camera height choices when seated. Easy to pick up and turn to face different directions without completely standing.
Gorillapod your camera to the handle while seated, instead of hand-holding or setting up bulky tripod, for quick added stability.
Obviously terrific at concerts, picnics, outdoor events, etc. But keep in mind its uses as a photography accessory in the field. (Or even in the studio!)
Extremely lightweight, but solid.
Highly recommend.
