I have been using the Foot Buddy now for several weeks, and so far it has definitely met my needs. I needed a way to keep my feet warm/get them off of the cold floor when working at my desk for long hours. The Foot Buddy is height adjustable to various angles, has a fleece cover with nice wide foot openings and room to move my feet around inside so they don't get that claustrophobic feeling, a big foot-accessible on/off toggle button, with a rocker button on the side to change the heat settings from "high" to "low". Both the on/off button and heat adjustment buttons are very easily managed by foot, so no need to lean over and fish around trying to turn the thing off/make adjustments.
It takes a few minutes for the heat to get up to speed, so I usually turn it on to "high" to "pre-heat" while I get a cup of tea - and it's nice and cozy and ready to go by the time I'm ready to get to work. After about 10-20 min. I have to turn the heat setting down to "low" to be comfortable. The heating aspect is definitely efficient.
I haven't washed the fleece cover yet, so I can't make comment on how it does with a washing/retaining shape.
The only slight very minor issue is that the fleece cover leaves my ankles/back of my feet open to the air, which can get a bit chilly. But all I do is drape a throw over my legs and loosely over my feet - and all is warm and cozy. :) Definitely one of the best buys I've made lately. I hope it lasts for a very long time. :)
