the rail, does keep you in bed safely. but the thing I am happy about is how often
I use the rail to move myself around in bed. Or just rolling over, or shifting my body around, where before it was nessary to ask for help. Now I just reach for the rail without thinking. Its great for keeping your balance. I am over 400 lbs and its held up to my pulling and pushing againest it fine. I may order another!!!

I purchased this product for my mother who has Parkinson's Disease. It is definitely multifunctional. It's gives the patient support to turn in bed and also to get out of bed. When standing the patient has a sturdy support to hold on to.
The construction is very sturdy and very easy to put into use. A great buy for all caregivers.
