These knee-highs look like standard black knee-highs and are fairly thin. They go on with ease and stay up all day long without constricting. They provide a very light compression effect that still decreases swelling in the ankles, improves circulation, and help legs to feel better. If you are looking for a stocking with more compression consider Futuro Anti-Embolism Stockings, Medium Regular, White, Thigh Length, Closed Toe, 1 Pair. These cost a bit more and have more of a compression stocking "look and feel" but do provide more support.
