I am a serious runner (1200 miles a year) and sometimes overdo it. After a couple of long runs I felt a twinge in my ankle and pain in my arch. I bought this product, wore it to work and at home for five days (I took it off when I went to sleep), and then wore it on a 12 mile run. It was like magic! My ankle and arch improved quickly during the week, and I was able to do my 12 mile run relatively pain free (I probably should have waited a couple of more days before running, but I could not resist a beautiful sunny weekend morning). There is no way that I could have run at all without this product.
This product provides support for both your arch and your ankle. It is easy to put on, though the directions are very skimpy. Make sure to keep the fuzzy side facing out. I was easily able to put my dress sock over this and wear my dress shoes when I went to work. Likewise, I was easily able to put my running sock over this and wear my running shoes. I was also easily able to adjust it in the middle of my run.
Unlike other supports that I have used, once you put the velcro straps in place, they stay put--even with vigorous running. For ankle and/or arch problems I highly recommend this. I bought it at my local CVS for the same cost as on Amazon with the shipping charge.
