I have been using these for my menstrual periods for many months, and they are working great. I had previously ordered cloth pads from GladRags, and the cloth they were made from actually seemed fairly flimsy. Not so with the FuzziBunz pads. These pads are made from a wonderfully soft fleecy-feeling upper white cloth, and a sturdy water-proof lower layer. They seem much more long-lasting than the GladRags did. I can't compare for certain because I returned the GladRags without using them and kept these! I was able to buy these at least half the cost of the others, and I'm more impressed with the quality.
I don't use any pad for more than a day, and then I immediately wash by hand in cold water (only takes 1-2 minutes) and keep in a little bucket covered in cold water until I can put them through the wash. It really isn't icky to do this, and I'm really glad to have soft cloth against my skin. Staining is slight, not an issue.
You can fold these and snap over the outside so that you have a handy sized pad to pack in your purse. It's nice not to fill up the landfill either.
The only down-side is that they do slip a bit sometimes or try to fold over when you pull up your underwear while getting dressed, but this would be true of any single-snap cloth pad.
