My dentist has always emphasized the importance of flossing, which I just don't like to do. So he introduced me to this product a number of years ago, and I have been using it ever since; for me it is easier than flossing.
This works great to remove plaque and food particles. My dental hygiene improved noticeably after I started using it. I have always been prone to gum problems, but fortunately my daily use of this product has made those problems a thing of the past.
This product comes in three different thicknesses (thin, medium, and wide) since the space between your teeth can vary. This is the medium thickness, which I use for most of my teeth.
There is no time limit on when you must change these, though I usually change them once a week. However, as another review has noted, you need to be a little careful when using this because if you bend it (which happens if the space between your teeth is too tight) it really does not continue to work well even if you straighten it out by hand.
Shop for price. I buy this at my local CVS or Walgreens because the price is much less than that on Amazon with the shipping cost.
