Customer Reviews of G-U-M Proxabrush Refills, Wide 8 refillsCustomer Review: Great product, inept seller Summary: 5 Stars
The GUM interdental brushes are very effective for removing food particles -- recommended by our dentist and periodontist. Too bad Walmart doesn't carry them, but we find them occasionally at Rite-Aid drugstores. They come in several sizes and configurations (tapered and cylindrical). We ordered cylindrical ones from Atlantic, but they shipped tapered. When we reported this to the seller, they quickly refilled our order and again sent tapered. The packages are clearly labelled, so duh, shop in stores for this product. We think the interdental brushes do a better job than some types of dental floss if you have enough space between your teeth (e.g. Molars and pre-molars).
Customer Review: interdental brushes Summary: 5 Stars
I was instructed by my periodontist several years ago to use the interdental brushes as part of my dental care to help prevent bone loss, and gaps between gum and tooth surface. These work well and are not too expensive. I wish they lasted longer, but I suppose that is a trade off for something that is not going to damage the teeth or be too hard on the gums. They provide a gentle, but effective cleaning of areas hard to reach with a regular brush, and stimulates gums in a different way from floss
Customer Review: Proxie brushes are wonderful to keep plaque off your teeth. Summary: 5 Stars
For years I have been using these Proxabrush Refills. They clean between your teeth and reduce or eliminate plaque buildup with daily use. I love them!
Customer Review: Promotes good health Summary: 5 Stars
I have used these Gum products for years and know they are one of the reasons I get such good dental checkups and have healty teeth and gums.
Customer Review: Would be better if 100% plastic Summary: 3 Stars
These work very well for cleaning between teeth, especially after means when toothpicks just don't get the job done. The only problem I have with them is that the central "stem" is made of metal, which comes into contact with the teeth at times. Rubbing metal on the teeth isn't good, because it can wear away the enamel and lead to increased risk of cavities and tooth pain. I would rate these much higher if the whole thing was plastic instead of just the bristles.
