The label says 1 to 3 tablets a day. Unless your stomach is made of concrete, one a day is fine. What I don't like is the gurgling in my stomach as this stuff does its job. Don't ever mix this with a laxative! I tried this product for two days, but decided I'd rather use a high fiber diet or a mild laxative. I wasn't extremely impressed with this product. I've used many brands of probiotics over the years, some cheaper, some more expensive; this one fell in the middle. It works fine as a probiotic but I can achieve similar results with something less expensive.Customer Review: You can see some difference when you start taking it
