Customer Review: Better than prescription Eczema cream

My daughter's pediatrician prescribed Elidel for her persistent eczema when she was a baby. Even though the packaging said it was not to be used for children under the age of 2. We bought it anyway, but I just felt weird about it... So I went through a number of non-prescription creams to treat her dryness until I found the Gentle Naturals brand. Granted, it's mostly petroleum jelly, but for some reason, it just worked for her.
My daughter's eczema wasn't as severe as the prescription warranted, but even the prescription didn't clear it up like Gentle Naturals Baby Eczema Cream did! Within 3 days, it was gone without a trace. I kept applying it every other day until she was rash-free. Now I buy this product as the standard "kit" for every new mom I know.
The formulation is a bit different now that Disney has purchased the brand. It used to smell like lavender - which was part of why I loved it. But I suppose that scent-free is a good alternative to little boys who don't need to smell like an herb garden...
