Trumper's Shaving cream is one of the 3 T's - along with Taylor of Old Bond Street and Truefitt and Hill, these are considered by many wet shaving aficionados as the best in the world. The violet is a great scent and one of the most popular. Note: A little more expensive than the other two, but the Trumper's tub is a little bigger 200g vs. 150g for the Taylor's, 165g for Truefitt. After seeing this specific shave cream recommended on the various men's shaving forums, I decided to give it a try. I'm very pleased I did because it not only smells great (not gaggingly sweet) but it does an excellent job lathering and lubricating your face for a close shave. As the previous reviewer mentioned, Trumper's is one of the "Three Ts" and, many would argue, the most venerable for their traditional, high quality products.
