Customer Review: Fantastic nipple for breastfeeding moms!

I bought the NUK bottle/nipple when trying to find one that my son would take for expressed breastmilk. The shape is extremely similar to the shape of mom's nipple when feeding and I noticed that my baby held this nipple with his tongue and lips in much the same way as when he was feeding from me. Also, because the milk comes out of the nipple at the roof of the baby's mouth, he is less likely to choke on milk shooting down his throat.
Because I didn't want to spend too much money on new bottles, I tried to give my son the Playtex Nurser I used for my first baby. He wasn't having it -- and five months later he still prefers the NUK.
I highly encourage other moms to try one bottle and see what they think. Your baby will love how soft and natural this nipple is in his/her mouth.

These were the only nipples my daughter would take after weaning. They seem to have a more natural shape than ordinary round nipples. The medium flow worked well for her at about 5 months. The only issue I have is the hole in the top is actually on the side slightly, when you cap the bottle it can leak since the hole is generally exposed even with a cap on so when you shake the bottle it leaks...learned the hard way with that :)Customer Review: parents beware

My nephew who is a week old had a terrible time with the Nuk Orthodontic nipples in the stage 1 slow flow nipple. He latched onto the nipple just fine but after 5 to 15 mins of constant sucking, my nephew couldnt get any formula at all. We changed out the nipple on the bottle and he downed the formula immediately. Nana and I threw out these nipples, they didnt work at all for him! Maybe other parents or aunts will have better luck with this product than we did.
