Just your regular old fashioned plastic pants. Great for fitting over training underwear for those little accidents so everything doesn't get wet or dirty. Good product. I bought 2T for our little 17 month old grand-daughter, they are a little big, but I am sure she can wear them through the 2's also, if we still need to.

I was somewhat confused by the sizing because 24-28 lb. is 18 months in plastic pants and 2T in Gerber training pants. So I got both of those for an 18-month-old who is tall and thin and they fit pretty well. Those training pants go up higher on the top and down lower on the bottom than these plastic pants so you have to tuck the training pants in or they will leach wetness out. These plastic pants aren't especially durable. They get tears in them from normal wear and tear after a couple of months. That may not be a problem if you have a baby who you can potty-train fast, but mine is hardly talking and very fussy, so communication with her is kind of tough and it's taking a while.Customer Review: gerber doesn't know how to size kids!

I bought this product small, ordered 18 month size for my daughter who is a small 24 pound 26 month old girl with hardly any butt. These pants are huge. Almost as big as the ones you can find at Target. The leg holes seem about right so I am going to try them anyway even if they can go half way up to her arm pits. The plastic material seems fine, haven't washed them yet. Don't understand why gerber onesies fit just right yet these pants are so huge.
