After going through goodness knows how many types of sippy cups, I finally realized that my son was refusing to drink from them all because he couldn't visually inspect what was going into his mouth. Unfortunately, it also seems like most cups made today make this pretty much impossible with opaque coloring or encompassing designs.
While looking for a clear sippy cup the other day, I came across this Gerber one. I filled it with juice, gave it to my son, and then watched as he examined it and identified what was inside. Then, wonder of wonders, he actually drank from it! Thank you, Gerber for filling this kind of need! I'm very much looking forward to buying more of these and ridding ourselves of our useless stash.
I will mention that, at first, I thought there was a problem with the spout alignment, as well. However, I quickly realized that it was because the top wasn't screwed on all the way. If you stop when you first start feeling resistance, it will only line up with the handle. However, if you keep going until you can't screw it on anymore, THAT is when the spout is in its proper position.
