I live in the Salt Lake City area, which is considered "high desert". As such, the indoor humidity is intolerably low in the winter time. So, having a good humidifier is essential if you don't want to dry out because the air will suck every drop of moisture out of your body.
Things I like about the H3000:
* The design is beautifully done.
* The digital display is very nice and easy to read from a distance.
* The digital display lighting is subtle enough to not light up the room at night.
* The ability to set humidity levels to a fixed percentage.
* The ability to choose warm or cool air.
* The ability to choose spray direction and intensity.
* Not having to buy filters.
* QUIET. This thing is truly noiseless.
Things I don't like:
* It reads your current humidity level, but not below 25%. So, I couldn't tell how dry my bedroom REALLY was when I first plugged it in.

The Germ Guardian Humidifier uses nano-silver technology to prevent microbial growth within the unit, stopping mold growth for a healthier breathing enviroment. The ultrasonic technology with option for warm or cold humidification set this humidifier above the rest. Warm humidification maintains an 80 degree temperature to kill low-temperature bacteria. This unit offers you a low water indicator that lets you know when it's time to refill the container, a variable spray function allows you to adjust the volume of spray output. It has a humidity auto-adjust that senses humidity in the environment and automatically adjusts to pre-set level.
