Customer Reviews of Gillette Fusion Power Battery Powered Shaving System, 1 SystemCustomer Review: 1000 times Better than MACH 3 Turbo !!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Let me tell you that in the beginning I was a skeptic. Could the Fusion be that much better than the Mach 3? Was it worth spending $10 on? In short answer YES!!!
The FUSION follows every curve on your face like an Ariel Atom sticks to every curve and corner on the race track....The MACH 3 on the other hand feels live a Ford Festiva going around your face on 4 donut spare tires.
Where the MACH 3 leaves short hairs for the 2nd pass the FUSION annihilates them in 1 pass.
Where the MACH 3 lets your face feel like you need to shave again right after your done the Fusion turns your face into a smooth sheet of glass.
My last point is that you need to invest in the Fusion cream (or some high end cream). This is the biggest problem; people skimp on the cream and don't get the best results.
Customer Review: The best shave that no one can afford....so where's the gain? Summary: 5 Stars
This razor is by far the closest and most comfortable shave ever. The shave is closer than the M3, and much more comfortable; I'd say 50% more comfortable. I am amazed at the quality of the shaving experience.
However, I haven't lost my mind yet to pay almost 4 bucks a blade. I would if they lasted more than 2-3 shaves, but they don't. You can do the math, but $400/year for blades is more than I can stomach. I can well afford it, but somewhere you have to put a line in the sand and say, enough. This is ridiculous and Gillette is taking advantage of the marketplace. Right now, they clearly have the best product, and can charge whatever price they would like. The first alternative that arises, it's adios to Gillette for me.
I'll stick with the Mach 3 for now because it's plenty good enough, and already way overpriced.
Customer Review: try shaving with a didgeridoo Summary: 5 Stars
I am keying in this review while I'm finishing up shaving with the other hand. That's how safe the safety razor has become. I've not nicked myself in over a year of use. The blade it came with lasted 3 months - but, as with previous models, the replacement blades are apparently made of less stern stuff.
The wider spacing of the blades is vast improvement over previous models. Finally, you do not need torrential water pressure to clean your razor. Actually, cleaning the Fushion reveals its best feature. Under the flow of tap water, with the motor on, it sounds much like a mini didgeridoo, the Austrailian aboriginal instrument. I don't know if this was by design, but, if you're a world music fan, it's a delightful addition to your day. This is probably why they called it Fusion. Listen next time.
Customer Review: I was reluctant too. Summary: 5 Stars
I mean come ON, who needs 5 blades right?
Well, after thoughtful consideration of the major improvement that the Mach III was over a twin head razor, I decided that $10 was worth the price of a cheap thrill so I took the plunge, and to my surprise this thing works beyond my expectations.
The first thing I noticed was that this new Fusion has a more powerful engine than the Mach III. The second thing I found was that this razor gives me a much closer shave than the Mach III, and with very little effort, and those tight spots that my old razor would always miss are not a problem anymore. And I find this razor to be very comfortable without a single nick that others have complained about. But I do use this razor strictly for my face if you know what I mean. haw haw 5 Blades
Customer Review: The best razor I've ever owned by far Summary: 5 Stars
I love this razor, and no, I don't own stock in or work for any shaver companies. It's a cross between the old stick razors and an electric -- and I can use it while I take a shower. I get the closest, most comfortable and nick-free shaves from this little guy. Even when I occasionally take a week off from shaving (vacations, etc.), I fire this puppy up, take my time, and soon have a great close shave just as if I'd been doing it all along -- without the whisker tugging, bloody cuts, and uneven finish like the old days. Yes, the blades are expensive, but they last me a long time. I also like that I hardly ever have to replace the battery, and I like the little backside trimmer for my ever-growing nose and ear hair. Great product!
