These are great containers to keep in your pantry. These containers are durable and last a long time with a little care. If you put spaghetti sauce in them wash them out as soon as possible. I washed my containers by hand and all of the stains in the container came out. I was very surprised, so ladies and gentleman, do not put red stained containers in the dishwasher because the stain will not come out in the washing. The heating element in the automatic dishwasher will set the stain in and it will be forever embedded in the plastic container.
