Customer Reviews of Gold Bond Ultimate Comfort Body Powder, Aloe, 10-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 4)

Customer Review: lov
Summary: 5 Stars

I just love this stuff almost as much as the powder from Aveeno for my baby which has zinc oxide.

Customer Review: A milder version of the original Gold Bond powder
Summary: 5 Stars

Nice scent and mild powder when you don't need the full force of the original Gold Bond powder.

Customer Review: Silky
Summary: 4 Stars

This is the silkiest powder I have ever used. I also like the fact that it has no talc. I was afraid to use it because I didn't care for the smell of the other Gold Bond products (too much of a medicine smell) but this is pleasant. Our store is out of it frequently, so I decided to buy the four pack so I would have some on hand and not have to worry about my store being out. Also this was a good price!

Customer Review: Smells good but doesn't do much to keep me dry
Summary: 1 Stars

I hated the smell of baby powder for years but didn't quite have much of choice except "medicated" powder variety. I never like the smell much.

So when I found this one and smelled it at local store I was ecstatic. The scent is decent and totally acceptable to me that it doesn't crash with other toiletry products I use. Well, bad news. This stuff does not keep me dry at all. The dry powdery effect lasts hardly an hour. The feel of the powder is somewhat grainy and corn starchy. Not like talc feel. I know talc is not supposed to be good for you but I like the feel of talc. Too bad. Now I have another bottle of toiletry I won't use and have to decide whether to throw out or hang onto it. I hate that.

I didn't want to pay $20 for a bottle of body powder so I was happy to find this. I haven't tried Jack Black and the rest of the expensive ilk yet. I'm going back to Ace Hardware's Anti-Monkey Butt stuff. Checkout girls think I'm buying it as a gag or I'm weird. I could do without the large monkey with red butt graphic on the bottle label but that stuff works. You can avoid the awkward checkout moments by ordering the 6 pack from Amazon. Keep you dry and there's no offending smell that I can remember. And it has calamine powder in it (so the color is fresh pinkish) and I assume that's good thing but don't know for sure.

I like Gold Bond Anti-Itch products but this powder does not do anything for me.

Customer Review: Not what I expected
Summary: 1 Stars

I have long been looking for a replacement for the old Mennen talc that I had used for years. I was hoping this was it. Not going to happen! Unfortunately, I bought a deal that was four containers of this body powder. I have used about one third of the first one, and I almost can't use it. It seems to me as though it actually makes you itch. I started using it in the summer, and it was so uncomfortable I stopped with it. I'm back to baby powder for now, and I'm not quite sure what I will do with the rest of the bottles of powder.
