Some time ago, my husband broke his knee. Even after rehabilitation, the knee was never the same. One of the difficulties that he had was getting in and out of a car, a movement that he found difficult and somewhat painful.
The Original Handybar looked interesting, so we bought it. He says that the gadget gives him that bit of support that he needs to enter and exit a car more comfortably.
We also liked the idea, that if we are in an accident, the Handybar could be used to cut the seat belt, as well as break the window, which could be a lifesaver.
I just ordered a second handybar, that he can use in my car, when I am doing the driving.
