The product seems to work as described. However, I have since learned that equal value to these lights can be obtained by purchasing a full spectrum light bulb to be placed in an ordinary lamp, at a fraction of the cost. If it is the light that is the concern for tired eyes and people with mood issues, then maybe just get a full spectrum bulb, stick it in a mini lamp and either use a frosted shade or make sure the light is frosted. It may be WAY cheaper and more efficient : ) I'm all about saving money!Customer Review: Glare

I used my "happy light" for 45 minutes the first day; I was using it to help SADD syndrome of dark winters here: it was 90 dollars at Sharper Image; pretty pricey for a little piece of poorly made plastic. However, I was willing to give it a try. Today as I sat in front of it; "poof"-- the light flickered and went out, permanently. I don't believe that I am willing to try another one; too expensive and risky.
