This is a large scale that takes up a bit of floor space but it is more reliable than any digital scale I've ever had. It's very helpful to put a strip of sticky note or colored tape on the scale where you put your heels so that you are able to stand in exactly the same place every time you step on, because your position on the scale can make your weight reading vary by up to 4 pounds. I'm not looking for absolute accuracy, but consistency is important. As long as you're standing in the same spot on the scale the readings are very consistent. When you step off the scale make sure the dial goes back to zero. It's easy to adjust. I'd recommend this scale to everyone.Customer Review: Works great after you get it working

It came quickly and works great. The only problem I had was that it would not zero for me because the dial was stuck. It must have been banged around enough during shipping, so I ended up jumping on the scale and that released whatever was holding it, so then the dial worked to bring the scale to zero.
The scale is really consistent, and I have also weighed myself on a medical scale and have gotten the same results. I would recommend this product!

Its big and sturdy enough to weigh just about anything. Ever tried to weigh a big dog at home? Pick up the dog and stand on the scale read the weight. Get off the scale put the dog down get back on the scale read the weight. Subtract the second weight from the first to get the weight of the dog... Simple eh ;0) I was very surprised about the quality of this scale I'd have expected to have paid 4 or more times the price for this unit. If you have a smaller bathroom or vanity area, be warned this is a big scale. I used a tiny digital for years until it died. However, my 6'2 hubby had trouble with the itsy-bitsy scale. This one he can use easily. You have to make sure to check the 0 each time but overall the weight is roughly constant. A pound or two off if you don't reset it now and again. 4 star, would recommend for taller men/women.Customer Review: Simplicity

This scale is pretty good for a mechanical scale. It is bordering on humongous in size, so it's comfortable to stand on and the dial is easy to read. It is extremely accurate, which was the reason for this purchase in the first place. I've not had good luck with digital scales lately.
The only complaint is that it sometimes takes more than one adjustment for it to be centered on zero.
