great scale. it's simple, does the job. haven't noticed huge inconsistencies, and very few small ones. it's worth the money if your just tracking basic weight gain/loss. the numbers are big and clear, some of the dashes in between are a little hard to read (just smallish) but not enough to bother me. but i'm a "close is good enough" kinda person.Customer Review: Health O Meter Dial Scale

The scale is light weight,slim and yet sturdy and easy to read, accurate to the half pound. I don't need to know every tenth of a pound. This works just fine for me to gauge weight loss or gain. Takes up little space to store. Also safe to have with young children in the house. No glass to break. Great value for the price.Customer Review: Weight Gain

I've had 3 digital scales that quit working after only a couple of years, so I went back to the dial scale and I love it. Maybe it doesn't register every quarter pound, but it's cheap and as accurate as my last digital and I don't have to put batteries in it every other week; a big gain to my mind.Customer Review: Health o meter dial scale

I have not had much luck with scales in the past with working properly or staying calibrated right. This is an excellent scale that is easy to read and stays calibrated and has a wide enough base that you don't feel like you have difficulty balancing on it. For the one who wrote it gives a different weight everytime she steps on it, the directions say to place on a flat surface, it will give an accurate reading then, i had it on carpet at first and it said i was 20 pounds heavier! but now it's in my bathroom and works fine.
