Given the great reviews that this product received, I expected them to be the best ear plugs I've ever had. Truth is that they're about the same as others, if even as good. It's a pretty good value but I'd say it's a meh.Customer Review: Happy Customer got a "bad batch"

I have been using the 33 DCBL Hearos for about a year now for sleep. They have been marvelous --- real life savers! I started buying them from 1. Rite Aid.com; and then 2. at the Rite Aid store. I have been so happy and pleased. BUT....and a big BUT... I bought the 3 boxes you see here on Amazon. And, they are not the same as previous blue Hearos I have had. When rolling them between my fingers, they expand much too quickly and do not fit properly in my ear. This is such a drastic change from the blue Hearos I bought at Rite Aid. Luckily, I have saved the used blue Rite Aid Hearos and am using them over again. Today I contacted Hearos company to explain this problem. It's a big problem for me - it is very noisy where I live and sleep with these. I am hoping that somehow the ones I bought from Amazon were just a "bad batch". Well, we'll see how Hearos company responds. Normally, I would give these not 5 - but 6 stars.Customer Review: Disappointed in product

After researching and reviewing other reviews of ear plug products that reduce outside noise to better enable sleep, I settled on this Hearos brand. I carefully followed the directions to ensure I was using it properly. After inserting the ear plugs and feeling the foam expand, I did not however notice hardly any reduction in outside noise. After trying several times and being sure to follow the directions exactly, there still was no difference in reduction of noise. In fact, the Flents "Quiet Please" ear plugs that I had previously been using blocked out more than the Hearos did. I am returning these because I feel they are a waste of money. Didn't work for me.
