Description of Hearos Xtreme Protection Series Ear Plugs, 7 ct.
Free case. Xtremely soft foam. Trusted since 1992. Highest NRR 33 dB. Tested according to ANSI Specs S3.19-1974. The level of noise entering a person's ear, when hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR. Example: 1. The environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 92 decibels dB(A). 2. The NRR is 33 decibels (dB). 3. The level of the noise entering the ear is approximately 59 dB(A). Attenuation Chart (ANSI S3.19-1974): Frequency 125: 38.4 (dB) mean attenuation, 2.9 (dB) standard deviation; Frequency 250: 40.3 (dB) mean attenuation, 3.5 (dB) standard deviation; Frequency 500: 43.2 (dB) mean attenuation, 4.0 (dB) standard deviation; Frequency 1000: 41.8 (dB) mean attenuation, 3.8 (dB) standard deviation; Frequency 2000: 38.6 (dB) mean attenuation, 2.6 (dB) standard deviation; Frequency 3150: 45.0 (dB) mean attenuation, 2.8 (dB) standard deviation; Frequency 4000: 45.7 (dB) mean attenuation, 3.5 (dB) standard deviation; Frequency 6300: 49.6 (dB) mean attenuation, 3.8 (dB) standard deviation; Frequency 8000: 47.3 (dB) mean attenuation, 4.3 (dB) standard deviation.
