So I bought this *ahem* massager a few months ago and absolutely love it! To give a little context, I'm a hetero female in my early 20s, kind of a novice when it comes to sex toys. Prior to purchase, I had been hearing about the Magic Wand over the past few years in a variety of feminist and women's interest blogs. I had only used small dildos or vibrators and didn't care for them so much. So I went and read the reviews/testimonials online but didn't order because I felt intimidated by it; it looked huge and I feared I wouldn't like the strong vibrations. A month or two ago the curiosity was just killing me, so I gave in.
It was perfection. Once I hit the right spot (you'll find it easily just by moving the head around, you'll know), orgasm. Multiple. Only downside is after a lot of continuous use it can feel itchy. I haven't had any problems with the cord, though I can see where the problem may originate. The cord/base is kind of cheaply made. I'm sure reinforcing it with electrical tape will mitigate damage from regular use. It would be easier to use without a cord, but I love that I don't have to worry about changing any batteries.
I'll admit, I probably don't use it as much as I should because I'm in a LTR. Its size is a little intimidating to bring into the bedroom, especially if your partner isn't into sex toys or even possibly offended by its presence. Barring this, I think it's great for for-play and may even work as a unisex toy.
