Customer Reviews of HoMedics Instant Comfort Microbead Fill Pillow with Spandex/Polyester Jacquard Cover, Bonus 235 Thread Count Cotton Cover, SilverGuard and CoolCore, StandardCustomer Review: Improvement over memory foam pillow Summary: 4 Stars
I'm pleased with the pillow. I purchased the pillow to help relieve neck pain and shoulder pain. I'm pleased that the pain is much reduced in both areas. The pillow is firm but not as firm as a memory foam pillow I was using. The pillow was delivered on the estimated date. I've been real pleased with shopping on Amazon.com. I've added some background noise of the ocean to sleep by that has been real nice as well.
Customer Review: Worst pillow I've ever owned Summary: 1 Stars
I suppose I should have known better than to expect quality from a Homedics product. I used to sell several various Homedics products in the Housewares department at my local Filene's, and every item sold always came back. Homedics would appear to be synonymous with cheap garbage. Anyway, against my better judgment, I ordered two of these pillows, because quite frankly they simply sounded too good to pass up. The first couple of nights, sleeping on these pillows was like sleeping on sand bags full of compressed wet sand. The pillows were hard, and did not conform to my head; a gravestone would have made a better pillow. Eventually they did indeed soften up, and for about a week, they performed precisely as advertised. Then we hit the opposite end of the spectrum. The pillows that once were hard and unyielding as rocks became progressively softer, flatter, and limper to the point where they provide no support whatsoever now. They are so droopy that it is almost impossible to get them back into the pillowcases after washing the bed linen. I always felt like a snake oil salesman selling Homedics products to people, and then I let myself get suckered into wasting money on these pillows. I replaced them after less than two months with Simmons Beautyrest Talalay Latex Foam Firm Support Pillows, and I couldn't be happier now.
