I bought this because I am at my computer a lot during the day and night and I get a lot of tight muscles built up in my neck and shoulders that can end up giving me a headache. I use this as soon as I feel the tightness start to come on and that way it doesn't get to build up. It is run by batteries or I can plug it in. Since I am sitting at the computer, I usually just plug it in and save on buying batteries. If I need to get up for something, I just turn it off and take it off. It is very easy to operate and put on and off. I highly recommend this to anyone who gets tension headaches.
