I have a bad back due to holding 2 kids for many years. I have tried different things. I love the Brookstone chair, but don't want to shell out $3,000. I tried the Homedics SBM-200 at a Walgreens. I like it a lot, but found that it was too weak for my back.
After reading the reviews on Amazon.com, I decided on this Homedics QRM-400. I love it. It is strong enough for my back. It doesn't go up to my neck, but I can use it lying down. I have tried it both on different chairs and by lying down on the floor. My favorite position to use it now is on the floor. It hits all of the correct spots. It is wonderful when used with a little Bengay.

I needed something for my mother she always had a problem with her backaches... I did quite a lot of research on products similar to the QRM-400 by HoMedics. Including the other HoMedics products. I went to different stores and actually tried various products including the QRM-400. After a diligent research for about 15 days, decided to buy QRM-400 for my mom.
By far my best gift to her, that is what my moms comment was after she put the massager to use for a week.
My mom is using the QRM-400 for over 3 months now without any complaints.
I am very happy with the buy, and would safely recommend it to others.

I purchased this for my husband for christmas last year...sitting in an office chair all day had him complaining of a stiff back. Honestly, I use this as much as he does now. Its really great! There are other back massage cushions that are less expensive, (I know, I've owned quite a few of them) but they do not work nearly as well as this....for the extra few bucks, it is SO worth it! It gets all the spots on your back that you can't ever reach and it has spot massagers to specifically work on those nasty areas...its the next best thing to having a real 'hands-on' massage! I got this for a Christmas present today. I have used it for about 1-2 hours today already. It is wonderful!!! I have had to have injections due to severe back pains and have gone to my Chiropractor and sat in their massage chair. Aside from buying a $2,000.00 massage chair, this is the next best thing. I LOVE it. I actually put it in my recliner in the living room and it's basically a massage chair now. My only complaint is that it would be nice if it went a little higher into your shoulder/neck area. Other than that this is wonderful and my back hasn't felt this good in a long time. This is a great back massager. The shiatsu massager is the very helpful and relaxing. It can be adjusted to upper or lower back at any time as you are using it. I can put the rollers closer together or wider. These are great features. I use it the 15 minutes that the timer runs and if I am really tense go for the extra 15 minutes. Really the only difficulty is to find a deep enough place to locate it. I use my couch with the back cushion removed and use throw pillows to fine tune the angle and position. I highly recommend if you are thinking of buying any of the back massagers to get this one.
