I have had problems sleeping for quite a while. I thought I might try one of the sound units and see if it helps.
There is a big spread in the prices but I decided to go with the lower priced one.
This thing works! What else can I say? I don't hear where it loops like some others say it just puts our relaxing sounds except for the heartbeat that one is creepy.It runs on battery of plug in and has a timer to turn it off.
If you have trouble sleeping, try one, you can't loose.

You simply cannot beat this device for value. Sure, you can pay a great deal more for one of these things, but you will benefit on slightly for you extra money - diminishing returns.
A much better and healthy approach toward rest than a trip to the pharmacy. Instructions are complete and understandable. I use the rain setting, but the ocean is wonderful as well. There is an new added heart-beat feature for an infant's room.
Save the money - buy this model.

I bought this machine to help drown out the noise of my husband's heavy breathing at night and it has done the trick. I love that it has a timer on it so I can set it for as long as I need to fall asleep and not waste electricity/batteries the whole night. You can dial the volume way up or way down which is great b/c other sound machines I had didn't get loud enough for me. I was very pleased after testing and using the HoMedics SS-2000 which I recently ordered from you. It is everything I expected. For both the price and the quality it is an excellent buy. I am enjoying using it each night and find that it has helped immensely in lulling me to sleep as I had hoped it would. The sounds are soothing, realistic and conducive to relaxation. I was looking for a sound machine to use at home and while traveling. It fits nicely in a suitcase because of it's flat design. We use it at home as well. I may buy a second one for my daughter's room instead of using a fan. The waterfall is our default noise setting - it is just like white noise or a fan. The rain and ocean settings are fine, although I agree with other reviewers that the heartbeat sound is creepy. Overall a great product and exactly what I needed.
