I Purchased this item locally and brought it home last night.. the set up was fairly easy.The projector was blue lite and set up on the ceiling fine. The clock LEDs were really bright even on the lowest settings. The LEDs are large and white emitting bright lites. you can't turn off the clock background. The remote outside sensor looses the signal to the clock face and it came back on this morning all by its self? The ss5010 has a time zone setback automatically. You have to set the radio with a thumb wheel no markings on the wheel either! The radio led read outs just randomly runs numbers and never setting on the stations or going back to the clock setting.. you can't tell the time when the radio is on the radio setting.. maybe mine is a fluke? You can turn down the volume to the radio to nothing.This unit is going back to the store in a few days.Customer Review: Premier clock radio

I purchased this clock and loved the sleek design.
However when I tried to use it, I couldn't pick it up without pushing a button somewhere.
I got the thing set and loved all the things it is supposed to do.
However, all the buttons locked up on me and then I couldn't change any of the settings or get anything to work on it (sounds, radio, etc.)
I also did not like the fact that the dim on the clock hardly reduced the brightness of the clock, I had to put a pillow in front of it.
Great concept, but needs some tweeking....and should work!
I had to return my clock and tried to get it replace but there were none left at two stores. I hope others do not have trouble with theirs.

Well I downloaded the owners manual before I bought this clock and loved the fact that it claims that the backlight can be turned hi/low/off. This is not true, there is no off just Bright and brighter. I had to place velcro under it so that I can use the buttons without pushing it over or hitting button on the back using two hands. The Outdoor temp has never worked....ever. So now it flashes two -- instead of the temp on the LED and has two -- on the projection. This thing needs some serious work.Customer Review: Doesn't live up to the look.

I really liked the design and offered features. I gave it a month and had several issues.
1. The display is very bright in a dark room.
2. The base and angles of the buttons are not stable. Every time you depress a button the clock slides.
3. The volume and radio tuner dials on the side are very sensitive. They move at the slightest touch.
4. The volume dial has spots where you completely lose any sound.

I also bought this product and returned it twice. I like everything about it - but you cannot tune the radio correctly. Like many are mentioning, when you try to tune it to a station it starts flashing various numerals every second - you literally have no way of finding the radio station you want using their tuning wheel. Was disappointed as I liked the other features very much. HoMedics needs to correct this.
