As a part-time photographer/videographer with cold that turn into a cough, just days before a 3 night high school theater video shoot, I didn't know what to do.
I have enough moments captured with people coughing to know what it can do to a recording, but if I were to cough, just behind the microphone, it would be 100 times worse.
I started looking for recommendations for cough medication that I could take and not end up falling asleep. I read about Hold DM on several sites and decided to try it.
Now, I did break the rules, I took them continuously throughout the two hour show. But not once, did I cough during a scene. There were a couple of times I "wanted" to, but was able to control it and wait for a black out.
I will never use another cough drop. Hold DM saved me and allowed me to shoot the video without any interference from my cold.
I highly recommend Hold DM (and it tasted good too).
