Customer Reviews of Hollywood Cookie Diet Meal Replacement Cookies, Chocolate Chip, 1.4-Ounce Cookies (Pack of 12)Customer Review: I suppose this is proof desperate people will buy anything. Summary: 1 Stars
My friend came lugging a box of these home a few nights ago. She proudly threw them in my lap and announced she was "dieting." I sort of laughed they way I do with most fad diets. These cookies are not magical, miracle working treats. Just a 150 calorie cookie. It suggest you eat 4 per day in place of all meals and snacks except for dinner. The box suggests a sensible dinner. After all "when hunger strikes diets fail." 150*4=600 So unless you eat a few Big Macs for dinner its probably safe to say your caloric intake is going to be around 1000 for the day. So at this point I would like to state the obvious, of course you are losing weight quickly! However there is no way you will keep off that weight and you are depriving your body of much needed vitamins and mineral. You can eat ice cream 4 times a day and lose weight too.
Pros: Tasty cookie for most meals, packing your lunch for work is easier than ever before, you do actually lose weight.
Cons: Extreme calorie deprivation, moodiness(probably something to do with not eating regular meals), as soon as you start eating anything the resembles actual balanced meals you will regain weight, maybe its just me but eating 4 cookies a day seven days a week for at least two weeks at twenty dollars a box well that just seems a little expensive. About $100.00 for a two week supply.
My bottom line: Unless these are laced with phen-phen I would probably just buy an ordinary box of cookies. I'm sure it will produce the same results. Not to mention with the $75.00 you just saved you can afford a decent diet book that encourages cooking and enjoying your meals.
Customer Review: THINK ABOUT 1 Stars
If you take a moment to read the ingredients on the Hollywood Cookie Diet package you are going to see that sugar is listed twice -- once in the chocolate chips and again in the cookie itself. Yes, you will lose weight if you restrict your calories. Yes, 300 calories per meal for two meals a day should help you to do that. Yes, eating cookies is more fun than swigging sea weed or whatever. But why would you do it the hard way? Go to your grocery store and buy some sugar free cookies. Those cookies are only 70 or 80 calories apiece and you can have more of them than the 150 calorie Hollywood cookies. Why pay over a dollar a cookie and put up with a funky taste when you can do this yourself? I bought two boxes of these things and half are still on my shelf. But I have lost over 30 pounds on my own cookie diet so it turned out OK. Save your money and use your head.
Customer Review: These work but there's a better one Summary: 1 Stars
Seriously, if you are going to try a cookie diet you have to use R&D Diet Cookie. They are WAY cheaper and I think they work and taste better. I suggest you use them to lose your initial 10 to 30 lbs then change the program a little. Instead of the low 800 calories per day, eat a couple for breakfast and maybe even lunch then just make better food choices for the rest of the day. Also, have them for a late night snack. You will still lose weight but it will be a little slower but a lot easier!R&D Cookie Diet Meal Replacement Cookies - 2 weeks: Chocolate & Peanut Butter
