I have a two year old and a two month old, and I use it for both. I am back to buy a second for the baby's room, because my toddler thinks its "his machine." I purchased this on a lark when my first was an infant and found that the sounds really soothed him. I recently drove to Oregon with both children and when my two month old started screaming in the car I popped in some batteries and rested it just outside his car seat. The summer rain soothed him, and he stopped crying. I love that you can play the sounds all night, not just on a timer, so my husband and I can stop tiptoeing around on our creaky floors. I would recommend this to anyone with a fussy baby.
