I see the bad reviews but I find the Homedics SoundSpa to be a terrific addition to anyone's bedroom. The time is projected in a very clear soft blue on the ceiling. I don't find it to be overly bright and because it is a blue light your eyes should not perceive any light (brightness) through closed eyelids. The sound is about what you would expect through a very small speaker. A more expensive product incorporating more sound selections and higher sound quality would be a good addition to this line.
