Customer Review: Best sleep money can buy

Bought 2 of these (1 for spare) to replace an older unit that finally gave up the ghost. They've changed the style a bit but it's still the same quality unit we bought years ago. We turn off the "beamed" time feature as the last thing we want to look at is what time it is splashed across the ceiling when trying to get to sleep. As for the brightness of the display, I had some stick on tint that I bought at an auto parts store I cut a small piece to size to dim down the numbers, problem solved. We like rain and ocean, some of the sounds are a little intrusive but there is something for everyone, don't notice any repeats in the 2 we use. I HATE REPEATS so this is important. If there is a pattern I will just lay there focusing on the repeat, not good.
As for the older one: When we went to plug in the new one it turned out that the wire from the power supply went bad from years of flexing, could have just gotten a replacement power supply from the local electronics store and been good to go. These things last.

I have had my Homedics SoundSpa since about 2008.
I bought it, because in addition to a standard radio alarm clock, you can also set it to awaken you with either a standard "beep" or about six- to eight nature sounds, as well.
However, the real reason I bought it for myself was because of the projection feature. This feature projects the time of day to either your ceiling or to an adjacent wall. Oftentimes on sleepless nights, it's convenient to simply open your eyes, catch the time of day or night, and them simply roll over to the sounds of either a rain forest, the ocean, rain, summer night, or waterfall, etc. The sounds get me to sleep and, moreover, KEEP me asleep without medications.
This product works and my recent purchase was for my fiancee.

I love this sound machine! We use them for our children. I bought a different one for our daughter and it was terrible. We had our first one for 2 1/2 years now and it still sounds perfect! So we should have just ordered another one instead of wasting money on a smaller one. The clock is a little bright but if you are using it in a child's room it is sort of like a little night light. If it is in an adults room just turn it away from you a little bit. I kind of wish they made it without the part that shines the time on the ceiling - you can turn it off which is great but we never use it so if it wasn't there that would be just fine too. I really like this clock. We already had a projection clock which we love but the other one didn't have the sounds as well. I saw this and thought I would try it. We really like it. There are only two sounds that we find soothing enough to fall asleep to and our favorite is the ocean. A lot of people had complained about the light being too bright, but it doesn't bother my husband and I. If you are the type that must have a completely dark room then this clock isn't for you. The price was very good, especially since I had paid more for my other atomic clock and it was just a clock. This is two for the price of one!! Can't beat that.Customer Review: I LOVE THIS CLOCK!!!!

This is the coolest clock I have ever owned. I enjoy reading before bed and listening to the nature sounds. Being awakened by these sounds is so much better than a loud buzz or a blasting radio I've used before. I love the time projection on the ceiling. I can see it clearly without my glasses and know exactly how long I linger in bed without having to reach over covers and pillows to see a bedside clock. There will be several people getting this clock from me for Christmas.
