Vibrates and provides a little heat. Could be useful during a long drive just to keep awake and maybe relieve a little stiffness. For at home or office it hasn't been very valuable. Do not buy this product. I purchased the massage mat for the office and within fifteen minutes of being plugged in I smell smoke and notice the remote was smoking and melting because it was overheated. Needless to say this could have cause me a serious injury or even a fire. I am returning the item and will not be purchasing anything from this seller again.Customer Review: Made my back hurt more

the motors in this thing are HUGE. it protudes out of the cushion. The lower back motor is so hard and actually made my back pain worse. Its a terrible design. I cant believe Homedics actually allowed to have their name licensed on this product. total piece of garbage.Customer Review: Missing pieces
