It's always hard to judge - placebo effect - or - real thing? I have two little kids and after commuting and working all day, my bandwidth is just shot. I took the recommended dosage - and chewed them. I took them in the afternoon when I was feeling particularly stressed out about the state of the house - the bills - the food situation, ad nauseum. And the two kids were running around like wild animals. The taste was okay - I had braced myself for something along the lines of bitter SAM-e - but it was like chewing mild flowers. And about an hour later we had an incident (we always do) where one is left screaming and the other denying - perhaps you've experienced something similar? Usually my blood over-boils and I feel it leaking out of my eyes and ears as the brain aneurysm explodes. But instead I told one to calmly go to her room and the other to stay in his room and was actually quiet adult and, dare I say, CALM?!?!!
After the event I even thought to myself, "Wow, you were REALLY calm." LOL
Thusly, I'd say this product is a keeper!
There was no problem with sleeping, either. Fell asleep, no weird dreams, no "hangover" like Tylenol PM and some of the other sleep aids provide.
Flavor was okay, it seemingly worked right away and no side effects that I noticed.
