I have two little ones in diapers - the sleepless nights have taken their toll. For some reason I never knew about the 'overnight' type of diaper and have been waking each night to change my 15-month old at least once as she completely wets through her diaper, the sheets, clothing, everything every single night. She drinks at least two "baba's" before bedime, we cannot get her down unless she is completely full. And of course she HATES being wet. So I tried doubling the diapers (surprisingly did nothing), putting her in her sister's larger diapers (nothing), and finally did more research for an 'insert' or something for this problem. When I finally stumbled upon the Huggies Overnights, I of course immediately purchased them 'rush' through Amazon and ordered Pampers Overnights as well via regular shipping.
Fast forward nearly a month. The Huggies came in a few days, and I could not wait to try them out. After the first night, I could not believe she was dry in the morning. Getting my first full-night's sleep in what seems like years was such a godsend. We have been using them every night and sometimes during naptime as well. So far, only one time has there been a wet-through diaper. I agree with some of the reviews that the diapers are a bit stiff and "crunchy" compared to others. I felt my baby complained a bit about it and tried to get them off a few times. So when the Pampers (FINALLY) arrived a few days ago I immediately tried them out. After one night - she completely soaked through, sheets, everything. On top of it all - the Pampers has this gel like substance I also read about that was all over her bottom, legs, and the changing table - leaving a nice sent of urine everwhere. I realize the Huggies also has this gel and it can leak as well - but I think the stiffer material keeps it all intact. At least that is my assumption after 2x using the Pampers and having the gel issue each time there was a significant amount of wetting. The Pampers works great for everyday use, but I will swear by Huggies Overnights and felt compelled to write this review immediately upon my experimenting with both so you moms (and dads) out there can make an informed decision. We still prefer the Pampers Cruisers brand during the day, but it is Huggies at night for sure. :-)
