I have several pairs of these. I got first pair at orthopedic shop, but now I order through Amazon.com as a subscribed item. These wash and air dry. I get them really dirty at the farm and then soak in Dawn detergent for short time and then throw in the dark wash. Then air dry only as the automatic dryer will age them too fast.
I use these under orthopedic hand/thumb splints made at the ortho shop and these are great in cold weather as they keep the circulation going in hands when out in the cold.
One needs to wear gloves over them if you are out in the cold as the compression can make your hands colder if you try to use alone in the cold. I work in them with the ortho appliance on over top of them and then a heavier glove/mitt over that... I can work outside, shoveling horse poop and riding for hours...
Highly recommend that you try them... buy more than one pair so you can wash and dry and always have a clean pair... just remember not to throw them in the dryer.. I did and that pair seemed to age and get a little unraveled at the fingers.... still using but they look a lot older than the ones I air dried.... they air dry in a couple of hours!
