I have had tendonitis for over a year now, and my occupational therapist recommended the Pil-O-Splints. I had been using splints of the drugstore variety before--but they didn't immobilize the whole hand like these do (they only immobilized the wrists), so my hands would clench into fists in the night.
It was an enormous relief just to use these for the first time last night; not only did they work incredibly well and feel very comfortable, but they didn't give me pressure marks like my old, drugstore splints did. (Because of the design, they don't give some of the problems I've had with splints in the past--many of the cheaper kinds are easy to over-tighten in an effort to get a good fit. Then this causes pressure marks, numbness in the middle of the night....).
I was hesitant at first to buy them because of the price, but I'm very glad I did. They're easily machine washed, too (a real plus--splints can get nasty if used regularly!). Highly recommended, especially the adjustable. The adjustable still slips on and off like the regular does, but has a velcro wrap that can be tightened for a better fit.
