Customer Review: This glove allowed me to get back to work!

I agree with Adrian that the glove begins to wear out very quickly. The plastic strips that stabilize the thumb began to poke out of the top of the glove after about 3 weeks. However, with a needle and thread it was easy to stitch around the top of the thumb opening to fix the problem. Obviously, one shouldn't have to do this after 3 weeks, but the glove helped my hand so much, that I'm willing to take the time to do it. I have spent hundreds of dollars in the orthopedist's office on braces and splints that either did not help me or that I couldn't wear while working. I'm a silversmith who makes jewelry so I use my hands to do a lot of precise work and this glove has been great as I can do almost all of my work with it on. I have ordered a couple of more and when they come I'm going to reinforce the thumb opening with a row of stitches before I wear them so they will hopefully last longer. For me there is just enough rigidity in the thumb of the glove to allow me to work pain-free while I work. Some people might not find the glove supportive enough, but it works great for me.
