J.R. Liggett's Old-Fashioned Bar Shampoo has gained a certain following among travelers, as a bar is lightweight and, being in solid form, can be taken in carry-on luggage. The company boasts that one bar is equivalent to a large bottle of shampoo, and that claim is certainly believable. I have been traveling with a bar of this shampoo for four months now, and it's only halfway through. It is easy to build up a good lather with it, and it keeps my hair clean as shampoo is supposed to do. It is important to make sure the bar dries quickly after a shower, however, as otherwise the bar will turn into a gooey lump that might become stuck to your travel soap holder.
The one reservation I have among J.R. Liggett's Old-Fashioned Shampoo is what kind of value it is. Unfortunately, it is impossible to buy in stores in most of the US, and if ordered from here, shipping charges can really bite you. If you are traveling to a destination where shampoo can be bought in tiny sachets or little bottles, the cost may be the same or less as a bar of this shampoo.
