Ok, I've been suffering with Plantar Fasciitis for over SIX YEARS now! I've gone to two doctors. I've worn the hard, cumbersome boot for two weeks straight. I've done the stretches. I've worn the splints while sleeping. I've taken the drugs. I've bought the expensive sneakers and inserts, which actually worked a bit, but I still had ongoing pain. I've tried four or five different nighttime sleep splints but could NEVER make it more than a couple of hours before I would kick them off. They hurt and itched and cut off the circulation in my leg. I had to plan outings to make sure that I wouldn't be on my feet for too long in one stretch. I haven't been to an amusement park (which I love) in years.
I bought the Strassburg Sock for my right foot on Saturday of this past weekend. I figured what the hell...I've tried everything else. Why not try this? I have Plantar Fasciitis in both feet, but it's worse in my right, so I only bought the one. I didn't want to waste more money if it didn't work.
After five nights, I got up this morning and had ZERO pain in my right foot. None. Nada. Zilch. For the first morning in over SIX YEARS! And here I am, at 6:30 p.m., after walking around all day (I even danced and did some jump rope) and still no pain.
I am one happy girl! And I will be buying another sock for my left foot this weekend. You can bet on that.

How does the "Strassburg Sock" work? This easy to use, inexpensive device is designed to keep tension on the tissue (plantar fascia) so it heals in a stretched position at night. In this way many users find a reduction of their morning pain, some have noticed a reduced recovery time and yet others have reduced the need for medications. When worn as prescribed, it does not allow the plantar fascia to contract while in the prone or supine position. The device holds the ankle and forefoot joints in a position of slight dorsiflexion that prevents a position of plantarflexion, that is the plantar fascia is not allowed to contract. In addition the involuntary stretching of the plantar fascia over a long period of time helps to strengthen the foot's arch. What is the "Strassburg Sock"? The device consists of a tubular knit material that fits "over the calf" with 2 attached adjustable straps to maintain the foot in a neutral to slightly stretched position. When worn at night the device will apply a force which results in the reduction and/or elimination of the pain felt during those first steps in the morning.
